Character project - Kane

So here is my presentation of my latest project. This was a project with focus on anatomy.

We started out with two days of anatomy class with Scott Eaton, five days of design with Gabor Steisinger, two days of clay scultping with Ronald Kabicek, two weeks of modeling with Adam Dewhirst, one week of mubox sculpting with Dan Mason and finally one week of presentaion with Anna Kubik.

Here is the presentation

Design week 2 with Lawrence Marvit

Here are some of my work of design week 2. Another great week of design, where we learned about volume (rendering), space and texture.
The first picture is another value project, like the robot filmnoir. The theme was: Ancient greek city attacked by monster.
The second picture is Pirate Space Fight, which turned out pretty well, though there are some minor things I'm not happy with. So I will remember that for the next one. I have another great thumbnail from the same theme, that I will try to blow up and block out values on.
Looking forward to next week where we learn about colors.

Viking: End Result

Here is my scene just with light, and then the finished piece. I've been textureing, lighting and shading the last 2 weeks of the project, and its awesome to see it finally done. Also pretty close to the concept as well.

Viking Theme - Environment Design

We ended up this week by creating an environment, that gives an idea of the lighting and texture of our final 3D picture. Here is my result:

Character Design - Shape based Viking design

We've just started on a project that will last for 6 weeks, where we are going to design a stylized viking that we are supposed to model and make a full rendered still picture of.

Here are my five characters in a line up. I have picked the big guy, to further development.

Robot Filmnoir 1930-40

In first week of basic design, we learned about lines, shapes and value. we ended the week with creating a chase in 1930-40 where a robot had to be involved. Here we had to use everything we had learned so far, to get the emotion we wanted to.

Lonely Mexican in Desert

In week 38 to 41 I was learning the basics of Maya. We where supposed to create an environment in the first week, and then a character in the second week. Third week was rigging.

Here is my result.
